8.3 Multiline Text Dimension

MTEXT can input the words in the text bounding box which is designated by the user in the drawing zone. The text is considered as an entity. The text bounding box determines the width of the paragraph and the position the paragraph is in the graphic.
The result of dimension a paragraph in the drawing zone is just as what 8-4 displays. The steps are as follows:
Specify the diagonal corner of the block, and input the: ”Guangzhou ZWSOFT… ” in the dialog box. Click [OK] to finish the text input.
ZWSD2010 achieved the multiline effect, which is “what you see is just what you get”. That is to say the display effect you see in the edit dialog box coincide with the actual text effect in the graphic. You can use the middle mouse button to zoom and pan while editing.
By the transformation from the former multiline text editor to the in-the-text editor, we redeployed the text editor interface. The new in-the-text editor includes three parts: the Text Formatting toolbar, menu options and the text formatting ribbon. The new editor strengths the function of the multiple lines of text editing, such as overline, dimension, paragraph alignment, paragraph setting etc..
8-5 is a brief introduction to part of the buttons and settings in the dialog box.
The illustration of other main options is as follows:
Style: Specifies the text style to use for multiline text.
Font: Select any style or enter a new text style in the draw-down list box to modify the specific text.
Color: Users can select any color for the text or specify BYLAYER or BYBLOCK color, which correlated with its layer or block. You can select the “other colors” to specify a color which does not listed on the color tabulation.
Height: Specify the height. You can select the height from the catalog box or enter a figure.
【B】【I】【U】【￣】is stand for blacking, obliquing, underlining, overlining separately.
Undo: Undo your last step.
Redo: Redo your last step.
(Overlap): Set the way of overlapping. this button is used for overlapping set text. Only if the specific text has these three kinds of separator("/", "^", "#"), this button can be executed.
Right click in the text input window, there will pop up a shortcut menu. It can be used for more options to set. The steps are just as displayed in the 8-4.
The meanings of the command in the shortcut menu are as follows.
Select All: select all the objects in the text editor.
Paste Special: It will remove certain formats when paste. The user can remove corresponding format of the selected text according to their need. No character format paste: remove the pasted text’s character format, and paste the content and paragraph format only. No font color, font size, bold, italic, underline formats etc..
No paragraph format paste: remove the pasted text’s paragraph format, just paste the character content and character format, no tabs, alignment, line spacing, width, indent, suspension etc. paragraph format.
No format paste: paste the content and no character format or paragraph format.
Symbol: Add “0”,” °” in the text by executing the subcommand.
Import text: Chick this command, you can open the "select file" dialog box, select the text you want to import in the catalog box.
Paragraph alignment: Left, center or right alignment.
Find and replace: Find specific text you want to change in the editing box and replace them. The thing you can replace is only the content while the format and characteristic of the character remain.
Change case: Uppercase or lowercase.
AutoCAPS: set to the text you are going to enter in all capital letters. This setting has no effect on the existing text.
Character set: character set lists all the language versions supported by the platform. You can specify the language for the selected text according to your need.
Combine paragraph: merge multiple paragraphs through this command. Remove formatting: remover character formatting such as bold, italic etc.. Background mask: open the "background mask" dialog box. Use background mask for the multiline text.
Stack / non stacking: create stack for the selected text, or cancel the stack in the text. This menu item only display when there is available stack text.
Stack properties: open the "stack properties" dialog box. Edit stack text, stack type, text alignment and size. This menu item only display when there is available stack text..
Editor setting: Show the options catalog box in the “text formatting” ribbon.Always display as WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get): control the text display.
Show Toolbar: Control "text" toolbar. If you want to show the toolbar in the ribbon, right-click in the text editor and select the “Show Toolbar” in the “Editor Setting”.
Show Options: Show the “text format” options in the “text formatting” ribbon. The display of options ribbon is based on the “text formatting” toolbar.
Show Ruler: Display dimension ruler.
Opaque Background: Set the edit box background is opaque. If the color of background and interface is similar, the entity behind the text editor while be covered. By default, the editor is transparent.
Pay attention: If only you select the "Always Display as WYSIWYG" item, this menu item will display.
Show Tip of Changing Style: Whether the prompt dialog box shows when you change the text style.
Show Exit tip: Control whether display the prompt dialog box when you change the existing text format.
