You can use the Distance command to calculate the distance between any two points you select. It is better to use object snaps to select the precise points on the objects.
Command line: dist
Ribbon: Tools » Utility Tools » Distance:
The following information is displayed:
The distance between the points, measured in drawing units.
Their angle in the xy plane.
Their angle measured from the xy plane.
The change (delta) in the x, y, and z distances between the two points
Steps for Distance command:
Command line prompt: dist
Enter DIST command
DIST Specify first point: Specify point 1
Specify second point: Specify point 2
Specify the two points (e.g. picture 1)
Distance =122.0656, angle in the xy plane =35, angle measured from the xy plane =0
Delta X = 100.0000, Delta Y = 70.0000, Delta Z = 0.0000
Show the information between the two points that:
Angle <B = 35°, distance between the two points L = 122.0656, height of y axis H = 70
