This week, we continue to talk about drawing environment setting. In today’s topic, we will focus on drawing unit setting in ZWCAD+ 2012.

In ZWCAD+2012, the unit settings to length and angle can be defined with command ”DDUNITS”. As an alternative, we can click from format menu and select units to open the Drawing Units dialogue, which is shown as Figure 1.

In the promoted dialogue box, users can define the precision and output of length units and angle units according to industry standard. There’re variant formulations to opt, all these can be set up through the “Type” under length and angle.

CAD users can also define direction settings through direction. By clicking direction, the Direction Control dialogue box will be displayed, take a look at Figure 2.

Users can define the value ofbase angle in the direction box. Also, it is able to input any angles through “Other”. Once you select “other”,if the option “Clockwise” is ticked in the Drawing Unites dialogue box,as the direction will bepositive clockwise, otherwise, it’s negative clockwise by default.

As Figure 3 shows, if we set the direction due east of AC line as base angle and which is counter-clockwise, and the angle for point B would be 45°. If we set it as clock-wise in direction, the angle for point B should be 315°. In the same way, if the base angle for AB line is set as clockwise, the angle of Point C would be 45°.
