There are many methods to select objects in autocad. Besides the two methods by clicking to select one by one and pressing Ctrl + A to select all, when the command line prompt to select objects, you can also input “?” to open the following menus:

The following are the introduction of those who are frequently used:
Expect a point: select by default, that is, click to select one by one.
Window: select all entities to be included in a rectangle window defined by two points specified from left to right (e.g. picture 1)
Last: select the most recently created visible object.
Crossing: select objects within the selection area defined by two points specified from left to right (e.g. picture 1).
Fence: select all entities crossing a selection set (e.g. picture 2). WPolygon: select all entities inside a polygon. CPolygon: select all objects within or crossing a polygon defined by specifying points.
