<title>Vacuum Forming Demo Technique</title>
<link>http://www.zwsoft.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=117</link>
<description>9 times out of 10 you will find that you have to create your mold with the parting faces running down to a flat (planar) face. The transitional relief command will allow you to do this. However in a demonstration it is not always the most efficient method in that enviroment. So, If you:-

1: Create your parting faces as normal.

2: When you extrude your stock material, apply the nominal draft that is required for the relief.

3: Use the trim plates to core and cavity region to create the insert.

4: Finally extrude the bottom edges of your stock out which will give you the flat planes required for the vacuum mold.

This process takes less than a minute instead of 10 minutes.

Hope this helps.

<description>Joc,

Thanks for the suggestions.

Since some of us [hand raised] r kind of slow, could you create a VX part with both types of relief.

BTW, How was the show? Any pictures?
