<title>Text size - scale</title>
<link>http://www.zwsoft.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=1483</link>
<description>Hi

This matter concerns the setting of text to suit the chosen dimension scale.

I am familiar with the method of setting the dimension style scale. to correspond with the drawing scale.

However there does not seem to be a similar method for changing the text scale to correspond with that of the dimension scale other than to change the text height to correspond with the dimension scale size.

Is this correct and if not please describe the correct alternative?

<description>[QUOTE=Wilbri]Dear Denny
Sorry that I have taken so long to reply to your response.
What I am actually trying to express regards the whole drawing and not an individual component
So let me attempt to explain in more detail.
I have completed a drawing and now wish to add dimensions and line text.
Let us assume that the drawing is scaled to 1:100.
So I enter dimension style manager and make the necessary adjustments so as to be able to plot my drawing, for example I set the text height to provide me with 3mm high text when the drawing is plotted to 1:100.
So therefore I set the text height on my full size drawing to 300.
Do I also need to carry out a similar practice with the line text height (single and multi) when setting up my text style?

Dear Wilbri,

Thank you for your feedback and nice description of the question.

After we did test in our side, we found that if you set the dimension text height first, then you have to set the line text height. For instance, the default value of the dimension text height is 10 and the line text height is 2.5. If you change the dimension text height to 20, the line text height is still 2.5.

But, if you set the line text height first, then the dimension text height will be the same. For instance, the default value of the dimension text height is 10 and the line text height is 2.5. If you change the line text height to 20, the dimension text height will be 20. Following are my operations.

1. Go to Format -- &gt; Text Style ;
2. Change the value of Text Height, for example, set the height as 3mm;
3. When you use the text or Multiple text, the height of the text will be 3mm;
4. When you make a dimension for an object, the height of the text will be 3mm. But the value of the text height in the Properties dialog box will not be changed.

Hope this information will be helpful.

Best Regards,
