<link>http://www.zwsoft.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=1493</link>
<description>Dear Girish,

ZWCAD2009i doesn't support the dongle driver for Windows 7 after installation from the cd. You have to install the dongle driver for windows 7 separatly.

Please download it from:
&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.zw-cad.de/download/d&#111;ngledriver_windows7_32bit.zip&quot; target=&quot;_blank&quot;&gt;Dongle Driver Win 7 32Bit&lt;/a&gt;

Cheers,
Lars

ZWCAD 2010 is not 64-bit, but it could run on Win7 64 bit computer which is compatible with 32 bit machine. therefore, it is not necessary to run it in XP compatibility mode.

Hello Wilbri,

ZWCAD 2010 could work on WIN7 64 bit. Since this is the first year that ZWCAD support running on WIN 7 64bit completely, we haven't received much feedback from our customers. It works very well in our test work. You could buy Win7 64bit to have a try.

Have a nice day.</description>

<description>[QUOTE=Wilbri] Similar question set on another forum and I have received 2 answers that I consider to be acceptable.
These are:

1) Future benefit
Always plan ahead. 64-bit is the next step. 32-bit machines will probably be phased out just like 8 and 16-bit machines were.

2) Immediate benefit
64bit has the ability to address much more RAM which helps in any high intensive graphics application.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
Do you or somebody else perhaps have something to add?

Hello, Wilbri,

As far as I know, there are two main advantages of using 64-bit.

1. The computing speed for complex problems will be much faster than that of 32-bit. But on PC, this advantage will not be showed clearly, for we seldom have complex computing problems to let our PC to do.

2. The OS with 64-bit could support higher memory of your computer directly, larger than 4 GB.

However, this technology is developing now, not perfect. So, in my opinion, the 64-bit would not be popularized in a vey short time.

Hope this information will be helpful.

Best Regards,
Denny
