There is a very long road ahead. No doubt about that. The spam isn't acceptable and screws up the entire forum.

"Each knock back is an opportunity to get better... no gain with out some pain"

Lots of pain when you lose the developer of this:

http://zw3d.zwcad.org/quickmill.cfm

How many people in the world exist that can create the surfacing toolpaths he did? I spend a lot of time wondering why I have to create so many boundaries in Mastercam for toolpath. The developer of ZWSoft Quick Mill left and went to work for the leading CAM software component vendor which is ModuleWorks. ModuleWorks is leading the way when it comes to not having to manually crate boundaries for surfacing toolpath. It is ModuleWorks that allows SolidCAM to do all the surfacing toolpath shown in the link below without having to waste time creating wireframe boundaries:

Looks like finally we have date order listing working then some fraud head sets his bot on the forum and stuffs it up completely.... kinda frustrating for everyone I am sure. So guys, keep working on it. Each knock back is an opportunity to get better... no gain with out some pain - I have concluded this is an almost daily trade off. Cheers

Sure. I think ZWSOFT hired someone to handle this message board that doesn't work for ZWSOFT. The people they hired don't look like experts to me and I think they are learning as they go along. I can live with that as long as I see continuous improvement. Suggest post a "punch list" that I'll back till I get tossed out of here. Does that work for you? :>)

On the forum or on ZW3D? Either way, I feel it's going to be slow but I'm not sure if you want my opinion on the forum or the product.

Hi, mudcrab

Now we have listed them together, and we would like to fix them ASAP, I don't think the forum is working as expected, as there are kinds of functions are missing, a little difficult to read and maintain. I understand it is useless to apologize for the convenience, but I promise that all of those issues will be fixed in the short time.

Best regards

Looks to me like the Forum listing order is rigged.Sorry folks, but if that is the case, then you need to be more honest with users.
This is the free world out here. Please don't manipulate.
Convince me I am wrong about the list order and I'll apologise.

Hi Guys,
Gotta say - I DONT see any improvement in the forum function for ages now.
Hardly anything works as it should.
'Recent Posts' doesnt work.

RSS doesn't work reliably for me.

There is no apparent order in posts.

Latest post is a t the bottom.

There are multiple Forum options -'Not avialable at this time'

Adding more than three pictures in a post may be impossible- the Interface becomes unusable after that at least.

If, IF you are interested in fostering a great interactive ZW3D online community you need to fix these and more FAST.

Colin, you are the Global Support Manager, so give us a real good explanation why this forum is so poorly put together after several months of being online. (Not sure how it ever went public 30% done in the first place. Not as if Forums are new thing...)
If I was your boss, you might be looking for a new job about now on account of the mess that is the public face of ZW3D support.

So - what's the excuse and WHEN will it be fixed properly?
Cheers

Hey Guys,
I think you need to improve the RSS Channel so that it is auto detected by browsers or is a one click add to yuor RSS reader.
I am not sure - but it looks like ALL ZWCAD and ZW3D is on the same feed? or is it just some ZWCAD users getting confused about which forum is which?

Also - if I browse the forum then decide to respond, the login dialoge does not return me to the reply! It should.

Hi Guys,
still waiting for the email notification of posts... I hope there is a distinction between CAD and CAM as I don't want CAM posts 9no pun intended)

The Message list order seems whacky - just what determines the order of the messages?

Would also like the most recent post at the top of the thread so that I don't have to go next page to see the new post etc. An option for this would be nice.

Since I am now a 'CAD Expert'I would like to be able to edit my Military Decorations and some of the other information that is now publicly accessible.

When will I no longer be classified as a Newbie?

So - don't stop here there is work to be done to get this thing working properly.

Cheers

I'd like to get an e-mail alert if a posting has been made otherwise I must log in regularly to see if something has been posted. A full on mailing list is of course choice number one. Infact, I started a googlegroups list for ZW users a few years ago but due to lack of interest the list became dormant. It's still there if anybody is interested.

The old forum had I think four different categories for posting... CAD, CAM, Rants and Raves and one other I can't remember. I'd like to see the new forum have the same four categories rather than everything lumped into one category.
