It duplicated the normal stencils used by a Hermes pantograph. Just add the ross.asc file to your local directory and add the font to the vx_font_table file. I attached mine for reference. VX has some single line fonts, but they are pretty bad. In Type3 their font tool traces users defined curves, allows the user to attach the ascii description, then save as a font. The VX font tool is a little cumbersome. You create the same curves, but the definition is based on grid coordinates that must entered manually for each character. While using True Type fonts is easy for us on the computers, they take twice as long to machine due to the island of curves that True Type letters must have by definition. Without a suppot surface the retarcts will go to the clearance plane, with a support surface the retracts will be the safe distance. If you can use vertical thick the depth (-) can exceed the cutter radius. If you use surface thick it must be less. Don;t really understand why the limitation. We have a single line font for our engraving and this is the method we use. Hope it helps.
