While using CAD software to design architectural or mechanical works, sometimes its necessary to enter some special symbols. And the general method is: enter the Mtext command first, then right click the mouse in the dialog box and select Symbol / Others. It will pop up the Character Map dialog box for you to select the symbols.

But this method is not conveniently to operate, especially in some large drawings needed a lot of special symbols. So we provide a new method for clients to use in Single text or Dimension. Its applied with short-cut keyboard or specified code.

Operation list

%%c φ (diameter)

%%d (angle)

%%p ?br/>%%u _ (underline)

%%o (topline)

%%0~32 space

%%36 $

%%37 %

%%38 &

%%39 single quotation marks

%%40 ( left bracket

%%41 ) right bracket

%%42 * multiplication

%%43 + plus sign

%%44 comma

%%45 - subtraction sign

%%46 full stop

%%47 / division sign

%%58 colon

%%59 semicolon

%%60 < small size

%%61 = equal sign

%%62 > large size

%%63 question mark

%%64 @

%%65~90 A~Z 26 capital letters

%%91 [

%%93 ]

%%94 ^

%%95 _

By the way, you can press the Alt keyboard and enter the corresponding number 32-126 at the same time to make the entry more conveniently. After you enter the number and unlash the Alt keyboard, the special symbol will appear.

Hopefully eveyone can share their experience using CADBig%20smile
