While using CAD software to design architectural or mechanical works, sometimes its necessary to enter some special symbols. And the general method is: enter the Mtext command first, then right click the mouse in the dialog box and select Symbol / Others. It will pop up the Character Map dialog box for you to select the symbols.

But this method is not conveniently to operate, especially in some large drawings needed a lot of special symbols. So we provide a new method for clients to use in Single text or Dimension. Its applied with short-cut keyboard or specified code.

By the way, you can press the Alt keyboard and enter the corresponding number 32-126 at the same time to make the entry more conveniently. After you enter the number and unlash the Alt keyboard, the special symbol will appear.
