How to convert ZWCAD2007 drawing to PDF format?
1. Install 'Adobe Acrobat PDF Writer' program firstly. ffice
ffice" />2. Ensure 'Adobe Acrobat PDF Writer' program created in directory of printer driver at control panel.
3, Open ZWCAD program and execute the Plot command.
4, The "Acrobat PDF Writer" printer driver will be added in the Printer list. Select it as current printer.
5, Click the OK button to pop up the dialog box and specify a filename to save ZWCAD2007 drawing file as PDF file.

You can use any program which can create PDF
for example, free software PDFCreator http://www.pdfforge.org/products/pdfcreator. Also with PDFCreator you can print as raster images PNG, JPG, TIFF, BMP, PCX, PS, EPS.

Yes, Thanks Pavel. I wonder if the only real advantage of using Adobe Acrobat Writer is the 3d pdf export? (And guaranteed compatibility, too, perhaps) Would you know?
EDIT: Why is export (SVG, WMF etc) not there in the Standard version? Surely that should be part of the standard toolset?
One reason so many users are moving away from Autocad is their habit of removing all functions that they thought would be more useful away from AutocadLT - lisp, expresstools etc.
Maybe, with pdfcreator we can add that back to the toolset?

Pdf995 is a good software for creating pdf file because:
a)Automatic display the output of the pdf via adobe pdf reader
b)Under shareware vision, it does not have any water marker on the pdf

Why not try with ZWCAD2009, the trail version has no limitation with plot to PDF file function.

Here on our company sometimes we use Autodesk Dwg True View 2010, just for print jobs because it seems that have a greater quality.
They also have a printer driver called "Dwg To PDF.pc3" that is wonderful.
It exports also the layer state to the pdf format!!!
How about Zwcad creates a printer driver with also this function?

so the free pdf writter cannot do 3d pdf export unlike Adobe Acrobat Writer can?
i know solidworks can generate to PDF directly and it is 3D.

From the 2009i version, ZWCAD can support " DWG to PDF". You can open your drawing with DWG format in ZWCAD, then use the "export" function to save the drawing. If it is a 3d drawing, it is still 3D drawing in the PDF file. You can have a try.

Here's a cheat trick that might be easier to use. Save the pdf as a image file like a tif or jpg. Insert the image into cad and draw over it. Then convert it all back to pdf. You may can do something with this unless you need to actually delete of modify part of the image.
