Step Reduction Milling

Take a look at www.surfcam.com and check out their claims on step reduction milling. According to them there's no need for rest roughing, or feed optimization. What do you guys think?.
Also doesn't the new QM roughing (in V7) do this anyway?

Both and many, many more,
Step reduction via intermediary steps.
Rest Roughing chaining automatic roughing paths and keeping the stock updated.
AFC for any toolpath.
Relinking.
In my estimation applying this optimisations should decrease the time for roughing with at least 40-70%. Your job is to prove me wrong

Their step reduction milling is nothing more than rest roughing in general!
If is done with different tools is done incremental on an updated stock if is done with same tool or in separate path or enabling intermediary slices that is very efficient.
Anyway QM is well ahead surfcam not this is our biggest competitor.
The range of technologies in QM roughing should position it well against a lot of CAM products.
