Thank you for your interesting in ZWCAD. ZWCAD runs under the following versions of Microsoft Windows: 2000, XP, and Vista. ZWCAD does not support Linux or Mac OS X at this time. But we never give up pursuiting that. We focus on the stability and efficiency in the near future, and will work for that then.

You could use http://www.virtualbox.org">VirtualBox (freeware) on your Linux machine and install a windows system in it. So you can use ZWCAD - it works fine.

Bricscad has release Alpha version of a native Linux CAD.

Thank you for your information. In the next 2010 official version which will be released this week, can support the following systems: Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, but not Linux for the time being. At the same time, we are keeping evaluating this requirement and never give up pursuit that. Have a nice day!

Thanks for the info. Archicad is working ok on virtualbox, but I want a native cad for 2D because opens faster.

We are also looking for a CAD system that works natively under linux. I think this is a rather large market that has yet to be discovered. The main (the only?) reason we are still hanging on the our windows installations are that there isn't a real alternative to Autocad on another operating system.
We are seeking alternatives and have found ZWcad, but if we could migrate all our client to linux running ZWcad that would really be interesting!
