Im using 2011 and find that as soon as raster images are present in the drawing processing of external lisp routines are extremely slow, sometimes 15 seconds or more. Even some internal commands are much slower. This was the case with 2010 as well, but not so in 2009i. Im considering going back to 2009i and I cannot understand why R&D cannot go back to 2009i and look how rasterimages were dealt with in that version . has anybody encountered this problem or am I the only one who uses raster images ??

To explain that, Raster image processing method has been modified a lot to correct some old bugs and support large images, such as more than 256MB, so it means the whole structure is not the same as 2009 or 2008, thus may cause some unknown problem, such as slow speed.
About yours, did you mean when dealing with images in external lisp is very slow? Could you please send me a sample lisp and image to see the problem? with such materials, I can suggest to R&D how to improve the raster functionality and performance. Thanks for your understanding and support!
