I use AutoCad and we internally link dimensions, by physically selecting a 'Linear Dimension' from 'Objects' in the 'Field' command, to have that dimension visually displayed in an attribute block cell. I see that there is no capability in ZWCad 2012 to select a dimension through 'Objects' in an 'Insert Field' command like there is in AutoCad. Under 'Field Categories - Objects' can I create a custom 'Field Name' to allow me to select a 'Linear Dimension' to have it visually displayed as a link in an attribute cell?

Sorry to say that it's not available for the moment in current ZWCAD
, but you give us a good suggestion on how to improve the user expierence on the usage of in-drawing data. We'll try to make more effort to optimize it. Wait for the next version coz it's just arround the corner
