...probably sooner than other AutoDesk products!
In reality, it is very difficult to work with the AutoDesk formats, especially DWG. AutoDesk constantly "move the goal posts" to ensure that it is difficult, because they think that will make everyone use AutoCad instead of other products like VX. They could be wrong!
DXF is a little bit better (though not as "neutral" as it once was). There are of course many 3rd Party DWG/DXF converters that attempt to take a late-release file and convert it down to another. Floating Point Solutions offer a pretty good one at little cost.

I ask because today I received a pile of files from a company using AC2004, none of which open in VX or anything else used here of the MCAD persuasion. What DOES open it though is VectorWorks 11.....so we have a solution!
I thought VX was a member of the OpenDWG alliance using the same libraries as the like of VectorWorks for DXF/DWG conversion.
