hi Kishor,

I suggest you to use ZW3D to create this part. ZW3D is more professional in 3D modeling.

More then 2 hours of practice, I able to draw this sketch (file "sealern t2 skt" ) Now there are two question

1) When I extrude this sketch, It shows hollow part (file "sealern t2 skte" ), I need solid Part, how to do this ?

2) When I click on sketch, the all lines are selected, If i want to modify a single line, how can I do this ?

hi Kishor,

1. If you want to go back to modify your sketch, you can right click it on the history manager then "Redefine"

2013-5-7 10-49-16.png
2013-5-7 10:52

2. When I insert the sketch, I found one problem in two area, there are two repeated lines there, you can use the command show as below to check it, it will tell you how many un-matched end-point without closed. That's the root why you can't extrude it to a closed solid.

2013-5-7 10:55

3. So I delete the repeated lines (two lines) then exit the sketch. you can see that now you get the closed solid.

4. Ok, so how about your second question, new users always meet this problem, they don't know how to just use some profile in sketch, not all of them.

The skill is that, when you locate in the input field, you can right click-> Insert curve list , then you can select any curve combination what you need.

Hi Vidtec,
it is certainly possible to model this but it is not 'easy' for someone new to 3D, or even someone 'old'. In the absence of size data and kicking myself for even spending time on it, I show you this approximation.
The primary tool for the surface is Birail loft with straight lines profiles. The lines would need to be in he correct place. There is an element of twist and stretch occurring which is not really modelable.
But to get there you might need to reverse engineer the form - find the straight line locations on the surface etc then dimension accordingly to set up the curves etc.

Hi Mirko, but the forum is in English anyway...

To ZW Webmaster: It would be useful for the Member profile to display each persons Language or nationality alongside each post.

ZW3D_HELP <--- Click to go to

If you access HELP from the online site, you can install a transalor plug in in your browser - might have to activate from extensions page in using Chrome (Firefox is less fussy). Then you can access the Help any time in your own language.

I am sure Mirko knows all this but for anyone else in the world - it should help a bit.

Cheers

Hi,

the link shows a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fO8YRIemyj0) but, the video is another language (not in english), and video quality is poor so, I can't understand how they do it.

I want to create a similar part as shown in video.

Thanks
