 Webinar ZW3D 2014

Dear ZW3D team,

In the webinar today, which was very informative about all new features in ZW3D, I heard in a few sentences that
All third party software like TransMagic, PartSolutions and Liteworks are no longer part of the ZW3D package.
Especially TransMagic has proved to be a valuable extension of the import capabilities.
How does ZWsoft compensate this loss of functionality?

Best regards,
Luurt

Hi Luurt,
I understood that Transmagic has been replaced by native(Z3) translators with full capability so no loss. That is providing the Z3 translators are as good or better.
Partsolutions will continue to work, it will not be updated. So keep that download safe!
Cheers - Paul

Thanks to the both of you.
I got a bit worried, since TransMagic is a rather robust translator software.
We also use it as stand alone package.
It saved the day for us in a few challenging projects.
Best regards,

How about PartSolutions and Liteworks?
We are seriously considering purchasing ZW3D but these would need to be taken into consideration.

For me, I like installing the only one package which includes all of the translators, it is great to see that ZWSOFT include the built-in translator to replace their previous translator engine. What I care more is the quality of import files, I can see that it is much faster to open Catia file, and I love the new capability to export the file to Catia, which helps me a lot to exchange the data with the other Catia users.

Hi, Tony

The interface of PARTSolutions and Lightworks are still available, you don't have to worry about it. If you need any further information, you can just contact our local resellers or sending your information to sales@zwsoft.com.

In order to avoid any misunderstanding about PARTSolutions and Lightworks, I would like post the upgrade information for upgrade users. After you upgrade to ZW3D 2014, you can still continue to use your PARTSolutions(V9.05). And you will need another Lightworks Artisan upgrade package for ZW3D 2014 which will be provided from Lightworks company. In a word, you don't have to worry about any missing PartSolutions or Lightworks Artisan.

Best regards
Colin

First tests in V18 without Transmagic look promising
I sent the beta to a customer who does a lot of translations from NX and Catia files
So, it will be put to the test thoroughly
Hopefully there will be a good alternative for Part Solutions to on short notice.
