change attribute definition in autocad
Command line: Ddedit
Menu: [modify]>[Object(O)]>[Edit(E)]
You may need change the attribute name, the prompt content or default text after you define the attribute. Then, you can use the Ddedit command to modify them. Ddedit command is only available to edit the attribute of un-defined block or decomposed block. For the attribute block, it can only modify the value of the attribute.
Execute the Ddedit command, pick a specific attribute name, the dialog box popped out as graph 10-18 shows.
Tag: Enter the name you are going to change.
Prompt: Enter the prompt you are going to change.
Default: Enter the default text you are going to change.
Change these three attributes one by one, click the [OK] button each time when you finish the modification of one attribute. The system will prompt “select the modification objects” repeatedly. After changing all of them, Enter to end the command.
