Does anybody have any files with hole chart examples.

The hole chart command seems kind of limited and I just wondered what other people have done with it.

I actually use it quite a bit on Ejector plates. It helps the guys on the floor tell the what hole is what. I group several hole schedules.

That looks nice but I need something less cluttered. For example a letter and number by center of hole, i.e. A1 and then on a chart those it will have a key that tells you what hole A is i.e.(10mm S.H.C.S.) the number lets you know which hole it refers too. If you have ever heard of or used Cadkey it does this quite nicely.

Hi DFG

What you are referring to is actually standard practice in the aircraft industry (I wrote the first hole charting program for the UK aircraft industry, more years ago than I care to remember now ). On an aircraft part (usually drill on assembly), there could be hundreds of holes. In the CAD data, you would typically represent these symbolically rather than actually pepper the 3D model.

VX does not have this facility built-in, though it's hole wizards will be generally improved in a future release.
