Hi all,
Upto version 11, me and my colleges in CAM, have used many neat macros.
From V12 most of them do not work anymore.
Is it just me, or are there more users who are anctiously waiting on the macros (like inqiuire fillet) to work?

Hi John,
Please provide a list of your "most-often-used" macros. No promises but I'd push to include 'em in future releases as "integrated" functionality (a.k.a. ReadySketch).

I consulted with my collegues at CAM and here is the list.
CAD
*Hole clearance check
*Merge (dumb down) an assembly
*Assy motoin control (needs some perfection)
CAD and CAM
*VERIFY fillet radius
*VERIFY hole/shaft dia (add. additional info like thread type and depth/tolerance/hole callout text)
CAM
Auto stock
Upfront thanks for the coorporation.

Unless Chris Ward informs me otherwise, the following functionality is supported in Version 13.
CAD
*Assy motoin control (Version 13 includes kinematics)
CAM
Auto stock (Included on the Version 13 interface)

I think John's question is about their incorporation into VX, as per your offer. In the meantime, I think some of the programs can be readily upgraded to work with VX v12.80+, others have been. Current VxDAL projects are awaiting (the imminent) arrival of v12.84. I cannot comment on v13 functionality, I do not have that version.

Will all the macros I listed work on the arrival of v12.84? This would be great.
If not. Wich will not work in 12.84.

Hello John
None of those programs will work when v12.84 arrives. They will be updated, when time permits, to work with that version. I have other current projects for other customers too, not forgetting the ToolData program for Ramix. 100% of my time is spent administrating the PCR System, programming VxDALs is done on the eighth day of the week........

The Verify Fillet program has been updated (v1.1) and will work in v12.80 and up.

...MergeAll has also been updated for v12.80+.
Note, unless stated otherwise, VX v12 DALs are not backwards compatible with earlier VX v12 releases (nor releases below v12). This is because the programming language itself has been redefined for VX v12 (hence the delay in updating v10/v11 DALs). So, take care to download the correct VxDAL for the VX version you use.

HoleDia (Verify Hole and Shaft Diameters) has been updated for v12.55+
Note, this Util is designed as a quick and simple way to verify the diameter of cylindrical holes and shafts on imported "feature less" geometry. You can use it equally well on VX native geometry but it does not collect feature information (hole type, thread etc). The most popular use when originally coded was to aid the comparison of two (or more) versions of the same model. CAM Users find it useful to double-check a hole that the Hole Tactics Wizard cannot select tools for.

On a similar topic for those who have not come across it yet:
UTILITIES - Flag Hole Feature
It does not report the size of the hole directly, rather it converts the dumb imported geometry into a feature that CAM and drawing sheets (Insert Hole Callout) can use directly. No input is required for simple holes. If you know a hole is threaded you can add that information to the menu.

The IncMechanism program has been updated to work with VX v12. Inc Mech v2.0 works with VX v11.60 through to v12.90.
With IncMech, you can comfortably study the moving components action in an assembly using animation. Test for interference and output snap-shots for a Windows Slide Show.
