 points at sheet level

We have digitized some airfoils using a CMM and are comparing the points against CAD surfaces in VX. We want to plot some scaled views of the measured point data vs. 2-d sections through the nominal surfaces. The problem is that points will not display at the sheet level when creating a view. I tried importing the points as IGES into the sheet. That works, but these entities will not show in a scaled up Detail View.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Might sound daft but create a a cone with the point on the point and use that to locate the scanned data points.....

Perhaps a better way would be to use small spheres. If you need to see the (absolute) ordinates of the points on the 2D drawing, download the VxDAL "PtLabel". This applies XYZ labels to the points and the labels can be shown in 2D Layout (Via the view attributes options).

Version 13 allows you to see Model points on the drawing sheet. Use the "show 3D curve from part" view attribute option.
