Hi All,
here is a link to Integrityware.com who have software for converting Sub D polygon models to NURBS.
It looks to me as though there is now a pathway for CAD to use those model in a full NURBS CAD environment.
I think the future for CAD is that the ability to model how you want is getting closer.
