Editing .def file to customise output

I am not familiar with the syntax of the .def files nor indeed how it all works. A customer in Germany would like to get his output changed as follows (currently using "Find & Replace" in a text editor):

Current Output:

SPINDL/RPM,47746.48293,CLW
FEDRAT/MMPM,21485.91732

Required Output:

SPINDL/47746.48293
FEDRAT/21485.91732

Can this be done? If so, how?

Chris - can you attach a file to an email
I get a rather unusual display of your included text.

Hi Jimm, thanks for the offer but we have already established that these particular changes can't yet be made via the .def files, the values are hard-coded.

a "special" vxmain.exe is available, solving this problem. Works with VX 7.5
