Hello.

Now in 2013 you can edit the CL File, but i think its a lite dangerous.
In the sample, there where use an M00 and comment to demonstrate it.

For this, i think it was better there is an operation for custom M or G codes.
So you see in the CAM Plan the Operation "Custom-Code" or anything, and don't must edit the CL file !
And you can move it when anything changes.

What you think about this ?

I think Tony Tan did a good job in the presentation of ZW3D 2013 CAM and that the CAM Tree improvements in ZW3D 2013 are a good step in the right direction.

My comments on the ZW3D 2013 CAM webinar:

Background noise during this Webinar was both unacceptable and annoying and it often made it hard to hear Tony.

I think that for production machining that ZW3D CAM is still many years behind other CAM. ZW3D CAM needs to get as much work as ZW3D CAD is getting.

I saw no way to easily automate solid cut part verification over multiple setups in ZW3D 2013 CAM.

I still don't know if you can easily copy and past toolpaths between different parts in ZW3D 2013?

The user interface for solid cut part verification and for backplotting toolpath should be combined so you can easily switch between the two.

I don't see a stock model in the ZW3D 2013 CAM Manager. Being able to keep track of the stock model and roll it back is an absolute must!

There are still way too many popup Windows. ZW3D CAM should use dockable Panels and get rid of all the annoying pop up Windows that block the part/assembly.

I don't like the ZW3D 2013 tool library manager at all. It's not easy to navigate, it uses way too many pop up dialog windows and the tool and holder graphics are very amateurish. The ZW3D CAM tool library manager is no where near close to what other CAM programs have for a tool manager. I would be happy to post examples from other CAM products to show how far behind the ZW3D 2013 tool library manager is if requested by others to do so.

Jon has never used ZW3d or VX so regard his comments accordingly. When in doubt ask for a file he has done and see for yourself as he is yet to produce one in anything anywhere and that includes VX/ZW3D over the last six or so years he has commented on it. Jon, question for the day. How can you knowledgably like or dislike something you can't and don't use?
On the other hand maybe ZW should listen to you because they are not listening to users. JB enhancing ZW should be a perfect product.

Something else that ZW3D 2013 doesn't have is fully integrated probing. Fully integrated probing is being added by almost all CAM vendors. No way can ZW3D CAM be competitive without fully integrated probing when it comes to production machining. I have a link I'd be happy to post to a CAM program that just added this and is having great success with it at Solar Turbines in San Diego.

Prove me wrong Jon and show us some of your work. Here is a file I created in ZW just for you so I know you can open it, right? I still have archived some of the nonsense you pulled last time you were here and I look at it when I want a chuckle. Remember Deelip Jon?

Insofar as being critical of ZW I see you are at it again but at least I spent money with them.

Please remove Jon Banquer's comments as he is not a user of ZW3D and is here only to promote his website and his latest CADCAM of the day program which by the way is not ZW3D in case you have not noticed.
