Nice to see that SolidWorks users are up in arms about the intention to charge for the new reverse engineering capabilities in SW 2007 via next Engine. Seems the import facility is only available in SW premium products. Here is the UK thats no less than a

Hi Kevin

Thanks for that info. Certainly does prove once again that VX is good value for money. It's also a fact that VX has a really good range of tools for this type of work. It's one thing getting data in, but that's only a fraction of the story. A good use for the bitmap importing/applying to faces in v12 too - anybody out there with hand-drafted original drawings can now build models from these more easily - assuming the drawings do describe the final article......................
