I see that you can take a larger step for roughing in 11.8 but it leaves lots of stand ups. I have tried to change this but I can't get anything to work.

Hello John,

With VX 11.X there is a limitation you should use not so large step sizes, but if you switch on the "Waves" under the Parameteres at will be better. With VX 12.5 and later you can use a step size over 80 % but you have some small stand ups in the area of the corner radius of the tool. Also here the stand ups are going to "Zero" if you use the "Waves". Until now the developer is working on a complete new pattern for roughing, I think we will have it with a late VX 12.X version. For now use a smaller step size or if your milling machine is fast enough enable the waves.

Hope that helps.

Regards

Thomas
