Hi. I am lucky? to have a 3Dconnection spacepilot to try.

Are there any tips or optimal settings for either VX or the spacepilot?

Thanks.

Hi theMIB,

There are many different devices and each has a different number of buttons that can be programmed. The one that I think everyone should have programmed is "Toggle Rotation Axis". By default the spaceball devices will rotate about (0,0,0). Set the view rotation origin in VX then click your programmed button and your spacepilot will rotate about your new origin.

Hi Mike, that is not working for me in 12.93 or 13.43

The help broswer has for 'space mouse'
"Now you can use "Button 1" to toggle between three different modes of rotation in VX which are described as follows:"

Thats what I am looking for.

Hello the MIB

I do not use one. As Mike pointed out, there is a range of devices (a large range when the earlier series are included). So, please identify the exact device you are using.

3D connexion Space Pilot and Akela have sorted it for me.
Program a button to use 'Toggle rotation origin' a setting I missed first time. *-)

For the integration with 3D connexion mice, it works perfect in ZW3D 2012 now, hopefully the information is good for you.
