Hi there, I need to send my drawing to someone without CAD program. Anyone know of an easy way to convert dwg to BMP file? To save dwg as bmp? I have limited experience with CAD. How can I save my drawing as a picture that can be viewed? Any dwg to bmp converter recommend?

Hi, you can try with EXPORT command, choose Bitemap (*.bmp) format as file type, you can also use the BMPOUT command directly. If you need a high quality image, you probably need the BMP printer, and previously add the BMP printer via "Add-A-Plotter Wizard".

add bmp printer

add bmp printer

Hi Robdraw,

Why not just do a File Export as a pdf. Most everyone has Adobe Acrobat Reader they can open it with.

I think image processing programmes can enable to quickly convert files. i have use image converter which can original layouts hyperlinks, Images and tables retained in word ,text, image, Epub, html.but i forgot download the wedsite ,go to google. By the way , pay attention to your system platform, select the suitable one . I use an image converter dll found on the internet . Install it and it becomes a selectable converter option. Then you can convert CAD to many forms  in any program at all, including Adobe Acrobat . Just open a CAD file, select convert, and choice a form you want, then you can do CAD to image conversion and vice versa, the task will be finished in several seconds. if you haven't found a good choice  , you can have a try. best wishes.
