As we all know, almost every day the users report a huge amount of problems that they have with ZwCAD. Some of them solves ZwSOFT for us and most of them we need to solve ourselves. For those other ones, we opened this discussion to share our solutions.

QST (PROBLEM): A client reported a problem with loading hatches in ZwCAD 2018 (SP1.1) on Win 10. .ZRX file was loaded, but no hatches were visible. When you run ZwCAD as administrator it works fine.

ANSW:

STEP 1: Follow the path C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\ZWSOFT\ZWCAD\2018\en-US\Support and copy the ZWCAD.pat and ZWCADISO.pat files into a new folder outside the AppData (for ex. C:\Users\NewFolder). Delete the .pat files in the original folder.

STEP 2: Run ZwCAD (not as an administrator). Go to "Options\File\Support File Search Path" and add the destination that you copied your .pat files to (in our ex. C:\Users\NewFolder). Klick "Apply" and "OK". The hatches should now be loaded.

QST (PROBLEM): You cannot load XREF files into ZwCAD 2018. It just shows you the path, but not the drawing. When you open ZwCAD as administrator, it works just fine.

ANSW:
STEP 1: Try to open ZwCAD (as a user, not as an administrator).
STEP 2: Write the command "xloadpath" and as a new value: %TEMP%
STEP 3: Check if XREFs are now loading.

QST (PROBLEM):
1. A menu toolbar disappeared.
2. You want to reset your profile but don't want to loose your profile settings (in ZwCAD 2018 you can't import/export your profile).

ANSW:

STEP 1: Follow the path C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\ZWSOFT\ZWCAD\2018\en-US\Support and copy the ZWCAD.CUIX file (if you have professional version) or ZWCADSTD.CUIX file (if you have standard version) to a different location.
STEP 2: Run ZwCAD and reset your profile (Options\Profile\Reset\OK).


Now you have your menu toolbar back, but your profile is back to the original settings too.


STEP 3: Follow the path C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\ZWSOFT\ZWCAD\2018\en-US\Support and open the ZWCAD.CUIX file (you can open it with WinRAR or some similar Software) and find PopMenuRoot.cui file.
STEP 4: Open the ZWCAD.CUIX file (that you have copied in the beginning) and copy PopMenuRoot.cui file to it.
STEP 5: Take that ZWCAD.CUIX file (from the beginning with new PopMenuRoot.cui file), copy it to the location C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\ZWSOFT\ZWCAD\2018\en-US\Support and change the existing ZWCAD.CUIX file with your copied one.
STEP 6: Run ZwCAD and check if your profile settings are back, just like your menu toolbar.
Hi to everyone.

I'm in a trial period for ZWCAD2018 which I intend to buy.
When I try to customize or create a new workspace, only [CANCEL] and [HELP] buttons works.
So I cannot change or create a workspace, no matter what I do.
Is there a solution for this issue? Thank you!
PS: My machine runs a Windows 10 OS, with an AMD Ryzen 7 1800X Eight core processor 3.60GHz and 32GB of RAM.

I tried many times to post this... maybe I'm too clumsy...
So, I wait for an answer, in order to know if ZWCAD worth my time. Got 18 trial days left. Maybe I'll get something until then!
Apparently I used another "ticket" to solve my problem, this one, and the one tech gave me I cannot access now, when I try to login, it doesn't recognize my password anymore even if I know for sure that the password is ok, as I use here to login.
