Temren Makina from Turkey selects ZW3D to carry out high-quality mechanical design, such as the pallet system for vehicles on adverse terrain.

Full Story

Established in 2017, Temren Makina mainly carries out mechanical designing and manufacturing for different sectors, including defense and aerospace. With its strong engineering, R&D and workmanship skills, it manages to design and produce precision machines, test equipment, jigs and fixtures, etc., which all meet rigorous quality requirements.

What’s behind the forefront of high quality?

The name “Temren” means "the pointed iron at the end of things such as arrows and spears" in Turkish, which indicates that Temren is committed to being the top and bringing quality of products to the forefront. Therefore, it is always seeking advanced technologies to support such a high demand for quality, among which the design tool plays a significant role -- “While designing the projects, we were looking for a program that could provide solutions to the problems we might encounter and meet all our needs of part and assembly design.” Temren’s General Manager Mehmet Fatih ARIK said.

Except for the design capabilities, cost is also an important factor for a “youngster” to win in the market. What’s more, to ensure that they can deliver projects on time, they need the design tool to be simple enough so that their engineers can switch to and get the hang of it right away.

ZW3D is the answer: well-applied to a pallet system design

Then, in 2018, recommended by partners in the industry, they learned about ZW3D and have been using it in the product design department since then. Their product development process includes requirements definition, conceptual design, mechanical design, prototype, tests and manufacturing, during which ZW3D is applied to conceptual and mechanical design.

They put ZW3D to test in their latest project, PENÇE_PLT3 pallet system, which can be installed on the wheels of vehicles that have to work in snowy or rough conditions. By pressing a button when necessary, the wheel can be quickly replaced by the pallet, which enables the vehicle to continue running by the pallet despite the adverse terrain conditions.

To their surprise, ZW3D succeeded in handling the entire concept and mechanical design of this system. The engineers think highly of its CAD features of sketching, modeling, assembly design, and abundant standard part libraries. Moreover, its intuitive interface and easy-to-use features also greatly shortened their learning curve so that this new product can be delivered as early as possible.

It is a successful project that has attracted attention in a short time by some energy and public institutions. “Thanks to the capabilities of ZW3D and the rapid support of Grup Otomasyon, ZWSOFT’s Turkish partner, we progressed quickly and smoothly in the design phase and produced our prototypes”, praised Mr. Mehmet.

To be the best in the sector with ZW3D

Temren’s vision is “bringing quality of products to the forefront, meeting customers’ needs in the best way, providing service with all the required quality conditions, and continuing the way to the best in the sector.” Such high aims cannot be reached without the strong support of advanced technologies.

As Mr. Mehmet said, “we chose ZW3D because it is the most suitable program in terms of price and performance among the options. It is very easy to use and meets all our design needs.” In the future, Temren will continue adopting ZW3D, to design meticulously for each part it produces, and be "the pointed iron of arrows".
