Newcastle, Australia, August 18, 2010- ASVIC,a leading software company specializing in the development of CAD-based software products for a wide range of engineering fields, announced today the release of ZWmech -- an integrated engineering add-on for ZWCAD.The release comes as great news to 180,000 ZWCAD users and ASVIC’s already 25,000+ customers, as they now have a new software to compliment their designs, as well as speed up the modeling process.

ZWmech is a fully customizable add-on that meets the needs of professionals in all industries. This new application`s friendly interface gives both new comers and veterans of CAD designs an easy and efficient way of modeling. It is stated to be able to “cut drafting time in half,” with a powerful array of engineering modules, including mechanical, piping, ducting, and structural.The Mechanical module contains utilities for the drawing of a vast range of fasteners, bearings, shafts, sprockets and several configurations of material handling rolls and conveyors. The Piping module is equipped to draw in orthogonal, isometric and P&ID. The Ducting module is capable of drawing round, rectangular, and flat-oval ducting with surprising ease. It also makes the creation of complex duct drawings, a routinely difficult task, easy-to-do. The Structural module draws structural shapes from several common standards, for building most structural components like beams & columns. Other features available in the package include: Auto-Bill of Materials (BOM), full management of layers, and design parameters.
