Steurer GmbH, based in South Tyrol, Italy, is known for delivering fully customized interior solutions—from kitchens and bathrooms to bespoke furniture and complete room concepts. What sets the company apart is its ability to manage the entire process in-house, thanks to its integrated planning team and carpentry workshop.

Figure 2: ZWCAD is used for every project at Steurer and helps the team to build the highly customoized furniture for their exclusive customer base.
This seamless connection between design and production enables Steurer to meet even the most individual customer requirements. However, as project complexity increased and client expectations rose, the company needed a more efficient way to manage its end-to-end workflow—from receiving architectural plans to producing highly accurate technical drawings for production.
That’s when ZWCAD entered the picture. After a recommendation from a longtime client who was already using ZWCAD, Steurer evaluated and adopted ZWCAD as its core CAD platform.

Figure 3: Michael Nagle, Interior Designer loves to work with ZWCAD due to its ease of use.
“A client of mine had been working with ZWCAD for some time and was very satisfied.” Recalls Michael Nagler. “He recommended I get in touch—and since then, we’ve been proud users of ZWCAD.”

Figure 4: Renate Oberleiter, Interior Designer, started to use ZWCAD right from her first day at work without any problems.
The transition was smooth. According to designer Renate Oberleiter, onboarding was fast and intuitive: “On my first day, I was already working with ZWCAD. The interface was simple, and I was productive right away. Of course, you learn the shortcuts over time, but getting started was easy.”
The team highlights several key benefits ZWCAD brings to their daily work:
· Reliable handling of DWG files from architects
· Efficient 2D and 3D planning within one tool
· Accurate, production-ready technical drawings tailored for their workshop
· Easy comparison of files for working with external service providers

“We do all the planning internally—from the first sketch to visualizations and technical details,” says company founder Kurt Steurer.
“ZWCAD enables us to manage this full process seamlessly, which is essential for keeping quality high and turnaround times short.”
Beyond technical performance, ZWCAD also supports Steurer’s long-term goals. With guidance from their technology partner, encee and the ZWCAD extension Swiss AllCAD, the company is now exploring ways to automate complex workshop processes. ZWCAD serves as the foundation of this growing digital ecosystem, providing a stable and flexible platform that connects design, visualization, and production across all departments.
“Our strength lies in creating individual solutions,” Steurer adds. “ZWCAD makes that possible—efficiently, precisely, and reliably.”
From design to production, ZWCAD has become a vital part of Steurer’s workflow, enabling the company to combine traditional craftsmanship with digital precision seamlessly.
