Building an Integrated Design and Manufacturing Platform
King Duan Vietnam standardized its workflow using ZWCAD for 2D drawings and ZW3D for 3D design, mold development, and CAM machining.
ZWCAD supports daily 2D drafting tasks with a familiar interface and strong compatibility with common CAD formats. This allowed engineers to transition quickly, reduce training time, and maintain productivity from day one.
ZW3D plays a broader role across the product lifecycle. It integrates CAD design, mold design, and CAM machining into a single environment, enabling engineers to move from design to manufacturing without data conversion or information loss.
ZW3D CAM 5X module provides 4-axis and 5-axis machining capabilities with simultaneous movement and indexing functions, particularly suitable for high-precision components such as motorcycle and automotive parts.
“ZW3D is an all-in-one solution,” shared Nguyen Van Anh, Design Engineer. “It integrates professional CAD and mold design functions and transitions smoothly to CAM modules without data exchange.”

Fast Deployment and Practical Results
In 2021, immediately after establishing its Vietnam subsidiary, King Duan quickly deployed ZWCAD under the technical standards and guidance of its parent company. Thanks to strong format compatibility and a user-friendly interface, engineers adapted rapidly and were able to fully utilize the software’s capabilities.
As collaboration with international automotive partners increased, a critical requirement emerged: the ability to directly handle CATIA and NX files.
ZW3D met this challenge directly.
“ZW3D can import CATIA and NX file formats without additional fees like other software on the market,” Nguyen Van Anh explained. “That means I no longer worry when receiving files from partners.”
This capability significantly reduced communication friction, improved response speed, and strengthened trust with global customers.
