More Intuitive Sketching and Modeling
ZW3D WuKong 2027X simplifies common sketching operations with improved geometric constraints. Commands such as Coincident, Horizontal/Vertical, Equal, and Symmetric can now automatically apply the appropriate constraints based on selected geometry, reducing the need to switch between commands.
Modeling interactions have also been refined. Engineers can select faces directly when using Move, while Pattern Geometry and Mirror Geometry now prioritize solid bodies by default. These improvements make frequent modeling operations more straightforward and help engineers stay focused on their designs.
Smarter Drawing Creation and DWG Export
The release introduces several enhancements to engineering drawing workflows.
Automatic projection direction selection reduces manual adjustments when creating drawing views. Engineers can also select individual bodies from multi-body parts directly in the preview window, while enhanced centerline tools provide greater flexibility in drawing preparation.
For teams working with DWG and DXF files, ZW3D WuKong 2027X supports existing drawings as export templates and offers greater control over which drawing elements are exported or synchronized. These improvements help streamline documentation and collaboration across engineering workflows.
Enhanced Sheet Metal Design and CAM
ZW3D WuKong 2027X further expands its sheet metal capabilities with new tools for creating gussets and welded corners. New bend tables consolidate key manufacturing information, including bend angles, radii, directions, and K-factors, making it easier to prepare and reference production data.
CAM improvements provide greater flexibility in machining operations. Expanded Z Constant machining options support more machining scenarios, while Surface Engraving now supports chamfer tools. New pre-drill point options in Offset 2D Roughing also help improve tool entry into closed pockets.
Together, these enhancements support a more efficient workflow from mechanical design to manufacturing preparation.
