Planned for global availability in September 2026, ZW3D WuKong 2027 introduces a new generation of parametric technology and significant improvements in model stability, regeneration efficiency, large assembly performance, mechanical design, sheet metal workflows, and engineering drawing automation.
The release is designed around the practical challenges faced by machinery and equipment manufacturers. These include increasingly complex products, frequent engineering changes, larger assemblies, shorter delivery cycles, and growing demand for accurate production documentation.
A Stronger Parametric Foundation
At the core of ZW3D WuKong 2027 is a new generation of parametric technology developed to improve regeneration correctness, stability, and efficiency across parts, assemblies, and drawings.
The enhanced parametric foundation helps reduce common issues that can occur after design changes, including lost references, incomplete constraints, assembly update failures, and inconsistencies between 3D models and engineering drawings.
Under applicable test conditions, model regeneration can be up to five times faster than in the previous generation. This allows engineers to make design changes more efficiently while working with increasingly complex models.

More Efficient Mechanical and Sheet Metal Design
ZW3D WuKong 2027 will introduce new tools that reduce repetitive operations in common mechanical design workflows.
Automatic Fillet allows engineers to create multiple fillets in a single operation, making it particularly useful for castings and complex mechanical components. Draft Neutral Chain simplifies the creation of draft features across complex geometry while maintaining the references needed for later design changes.
The release also expands sheet metal design capabilities. New functions include Sheet Metal Fillet, Joint Flange, Merge Flange, and Spline Edge Flange, giving engineers more flexibility when creating, connecting, and modifying complex sheet metal parts.
These enhancements are intended to help users complete detailed modeling work faster while maintaining design consistency and manufacturability.
Expanded Drawing Automation
Engineering drawing creation is another major focus of ZW3D WuKong 2027.
The release will enhance automatic drawing generation across sheet metal, surface, and assembly design scenarios. It can automatically create flat-pattern drawings, section views, bills of materials, and exploded views based on the associated 3D models.
Rule-Based Auto-Drawing applies predefined drafting rules to generate outputs that more closely follow company or project standards. Under applicable test conditions, the capability can reduce drawing preparation time by up to 80%.
Optimized geometric projection also accelerates drawing generation, with calculations up to five times faster than in previous versions under applicable test conditions.
Together, these improvements help reduce repetitive drafting work and maintain closer consistency between product models and downstream manufacturing documentation.
Global Availability in September
ZW3D WuKong 2027 will be officially available to users worldwide in September 2026.
